Hilda Methodist Church and Bluebonnets
Sometimes disappointment turns into luck! In our quest for the bluebonnet in the Hill Country, we came into the small town of Hilda, TX and found this very old church. The cemetery was largely the deceased ex-pastors of the church. The oldest two graves were of two people living from the 1820's to the 1890's. Think about it- they saw the establishment of the German town of Fredericksburg, heard of the fall of the Alamo, and survived the Comanche raids prevalent during this time!
